CPIA offers international show space

The Canadian Plastics Industry Association is once again providing the organisation and management of the Canada pavilion at NPE 2009, being held June 22-26 2009 in Chicago. It is offering all members of the associations making up the Canadian Machine Tool, Die & Mould Federation the same participation rates as CPIA members.
“The pavilion is somewhat smaller than in previous years,” says Sally Damstra, director of international trade and shows. “This is a reflection of the market conditions that prevail at this time, and is also a reflection of the prime space that was available to us for selection at the NPE 2009 space draw early this year.”
The South Hall is the largest exhibit hall at McCormick Place, where NPE is held, and because it houses the biggest machinery exhibits, it also draws heavy traffic. Because of the limited spaces available and to meet deadlines established by NPE show management, interested companies are urged to complete and return the application/contract at the earliest date, and certainly in advance of the final deadline of this June 30.
CPIA is also planning to operate mini-pavilions at 2009 trade shows in Moscow, Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and New Delhi. Damstra says these may become rotating exhibit areas, depending on the level of enquiries received.
“It's an ambitious and outward looking program for markets that we know are growing rapidly and hold strong potential for Canadian companies,” she says.
