Contest for apprentices returns
The CTMA’s annual Apprenticeship Competition is coming up. April 30 is the deadline to register and order the part drawing, the part this year being a brass and nylon hammer.; August 1 is the deadline for submitting completed parts.
The contest, now in its 15th year, is for general machinists, tool and die makers, mouldmakers, patternmakers and people in other related trades. Entry is free to all apprentices, although companies are also being invited to be sponsors for the competition.
Apprentice prizes will include cash awards, Gerstner oak tool chests, certificates of achievement, and more. They will be awarded subject to the level of sponsorship received.
